LUXURY ACCOMMODATIONS The Whaler's Inn has brought a little piece of history back to Mystic with the addition of the "Hoxie House". The long lost landmark has been replaced with a modern day structure similar to the original building that burned to the ground January 2, 1975. The Hoxie House has a long history in the area. B. F. Hoxie, a wealthy Mystic Shipyard owner, constructed the original building in 1861. He spared no expense with this elegant hotel. His intentions were to make Mystic the summertime travel destination for all. Unfortunately due to the civil war, Mr. Hoxie's dream was never a reality until now!
Eight luxurious guestrooms occupy the 2nd & 3rd floor of the landmark hotel. The oversized bathrooms are outfitted with pedestal sinks and whirlpool bathtubs. Gas fireplaces add cozy ambiance to each room and the breathtaking views of the scenic Mystic River & bascule drawbridge are remarkable!
